On Thursday, January 22, 2026, the National Tourism Council (CNT) hosted the official launch ceremony of the 9th edition of the MANON Festival at its headquarters. This initiative, organized by the NGO Ecotourism and chaired by Mr. Flan Frédéric, marks the beginning of preparatory activities for this major event dedicated to promoting ecotourism, scheduled from May 7 to 10, 2026, at the Gningley Municipal Stadium in Danané.
Representing the Minister of Tourism and Leisure, the festival’s patron, the CNT Executive Secretary, Dr. ATTA Kouacou Jean-Marie, praised the initiative as fully aligned with the national vision of sustainable, inclusive tourism that creates value for local communities. He also emphasized the CNT’s role as a platform for coordination and support of initiatives that enhance Côte d’Ivoire’s natural, cultural, and traditional heritage.
For his part, Mr. Flan Frédéric, President of NGO Ecotourism and Festival Director General, presented the MANON Festival as a platform to promote ecotourism and agrotourism, showcasing the cultural and environmental potential of Danané.
The 9th edition will feature exhibitions of local products, tastings, ecotourism hikes, reforestation activities, training workshops, and traditional cultural activities.
Through this support, the National Tourism Council reaffirms its role as a catalyst for structuring initiatives and its commitment to making ecotourism a key pillar of sustainable development and territorial promotion in Côte d’Ivoire.
