On March 10, 2026, federations representing Côte d’Ivoire’s tourism ecosystem organized a tribute ceremony in honor of the Minister of Tourism and Leisure, Siandou Fofana, following his reappointment to the Government. The ceremony took place at the headquarters of the National Tourism Council (CNT).
The event opened with a welcome address by the Executive Secretary of the National Tourism Council, Jean-Marie Kouacou Atta, who commended the initiative of the professional organizations and emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between public authorities and industry stakeholders for the continued development of the country’s tourism sector.
Speaking on behalf of the federations, Jean-Marc Bini, President of the Federation of Leisure Operators, congratulated the Minister on behalf of tourism and leisure professionals. He also reaffirmed the sector’s commitment to supporting the implementation of the national tourism strategy “Sublime Côte d’Ivoire”, in line with the ambitions of the National Development Plan 2026-2030.
In his address, Minister Siandou Fofana praised the dynamism and dedication of tourism operators who have actively contributed to the transformation of the sector over the years. He reiterated his ambition to see the emergence of strong national champions in the tourism and leisure industry, capable of sustainably enhancing the attractiveness and international visibility of Côte d’Ivoire as a destination.
The ceremony also marked the Minister’s first official visit to the headquarters of the National Tourism Council, an institution that serves as a platform for dialogue and coordination between the Government and professional organizations within the sector.
On this occasion, stakeholders also announced the upcoming launch of the program “My Sublime Côte d’Ivoire”, a media initiative aimed at promoting the country’s tourism, cultural, and heritage assets on a sustainable basis.
